HeartQuest Rites of Passage honors the 7 year cycles of a human being's life. Who We Are

Iris Kelly Candea Began facilitating Rites of Passage in 1989. She received training and certification through Rites of Passage International and has led nature based Rites of Passage with groups of 30 to 50 people of all ages throughout over 15 enactments from start to finish. Iris also studied at Naropa institute in Boulder and gained certifications in Waldorf Pedagogy and the Foundation year at Haleakala Waldorf School on Maui. Her studies were deepened through Therapeutic Education at Gradalis Seminars. She has taught preschool and kindergarten aged children for 17 years in Waldorf Schools on Maui and Boulder Waldorf Kindergarten and Shepherd Valley Waldorf School. She and John have two sons ages 26 and 17. As a ritual artist, Iris continues to support the art of parenting and celebrate the growth of the individual in community, and especially supports parents. |

John Candea Has over 30 years experience in the healing and movement arts. His teachers include Hari Dass Baba (Yoga) and Pierre Pannetier (Polarity Therapy). He began practicing Taiji Quan in 1974 and has been teaching the Yang style for over 30 years. John received his degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in 1985 and national certification (NCCAOM) in 1986. He has been licensed in Colorado since 1990. "True healing comes from the Source, and I am grateful to be of service to those seeking Health and Wholeness through a natural approach." John is also a singer, song-writer and has put over 20 of Walt Whitman's poems to music |
